Twenty-three percent of Pelham Memorial High School,
class of 2009 are attending colleges ranked as "most competitive" in Barron's Profile of American Colleges.
Pelham's award-winning schools provide education in a small and nurturing
environment. As a small community, Pelham students walk to school, including to four neighborhood elementary schools:
Colonial School, Hutchinson School, Prospect Hill School and Siwanoy School. Pelham Memorial High School is located in the center of town. Immediately
adjoining it is the new $40 million Pelham Middle School. NYC
residents who move to Pelham, even if continuing to work in the city, do not pay city income tax, which (depending on income
level) may easily off-set property taxes that support Pelham's public schools.
The Pelham Children's Center, located in the Town of Pelham
Daronco Townhouse (immediately across the street from the Pelham Train Station) at 20 Fifth Avenue, 738-3900. Offers
high quality and developmentally-appropriate childcare, education and enrichment programs through its preschool daycare
